Alisande Tombarge

Geographic Services Director 

Alisande holds a bachelor’s degree in geography with a concentration in GIS from George Mason University, a graduate certificate in Digital Mapping from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree in Virginia Tech’s School of Public and International Affairs. She has worked with conservation easements and GIS since 2007. She also holds a Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 remote pilot certification. A founding partner and Geographic Services Director at SKTWorks LLC, she has extensive experience preparing conservation project maps and baseline documentation, stewardship, and current condition reports.

John Tombarge

GIS Analyst 

John graduated from Virginia Tech with bachelor’s degrees in business management and history. He also holds a Master of Library Science degree from University of North Carolina. He has been an academic business and economics librarian for more than 30 years and regularly assists students in locating and preparing data for analysis. He now teaches students to use GIS software in academic research. 

Sherri Tombarge

Project Manager

Sherri holds degrees from the University of Mary Washington and from Virginia Tech. An accomplished copy writer and editor with experience as a photographer and photo editor, she has applied these skills in conservation work in recent years. A founding partner and Project Manager at SKTWorks LLC, she supervises GPS and drone data collection on site and prepares baseline documentation, stewardship, and current condition reports. She holds a Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 remote pilot certification. 

Will Poncy

Fieldwork Assistant

Will holds a bachelor of science degree in environmental data science from Virginia Tech and participated in the Summer 2022 Solving Problems with Data Science research experience. Will hopes to pursue a career in precision forestry.
