Part-time Fieldwork Technician
8-10 hrs/week
Description:
SKTWorks LLC, a family-owned company, is seeking a fieldwork technician to take primary responsibility for using and troubleshooting equipment including GPS receivers, tablets, UAVs (drones) on sites throughout Virginia and for ongoing maintenance of the equipment. The fieldwork technician will also collect photographic and GPS data on site and perform other tasks as needed.
This position is right for you if
- you love being outside and enjoy the challenge of difficult terrain and weather
- you find technology exciting and problems with it intriguing
- you’d love to get a Part 107 license to fly a drone commercially as part of a team
- you’re interested in photography and would enjoy getting better at it
- you’d love to see Virginia and have reliable transportation to work at sites across the state
- you have a flexible schedule that will allow you to work for SKTWorks LLC one full day per week
- you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to think creatively to help the company grow
- you love to be active but are comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite and will gladly do desk work if needed

Internship

Opportunities for analysis, mapping, and report writing are also likely.
